INTRODUCTION DEPARTMENT OF RACHANA SHAREERA

The subjects of Anatomy introduces students to the study of the structure and internal architecture of tissues and organs of the human body and forms the basis for the study of medical sciences

The department has well designed two dissection hall and a well equipped histology laboratory; in addition it has well furnished demonstration rooms.

Museum of the department includes dissected specimens, charts, bones, joints, models etc…

CONCERN OF THE DEPARTMENT

Teaching Program

1. For the undergraduate teaching demonstrations with dissection of cadavers are arranged.
2. Class tests and three internals assessment, examinations in both theory and practical are conducted regularly.
3. Teaching faculty has adopted model based teaching.
4. Museum specimens are promoted as an additional tearing tool.

AIMS /GOALS OF DEPARTMENT

1. The main goal is to explain the anatomy of human body.
2. To train the students to gain the anatomical knowledge through theory & cadaver dissection and its application in clinical practice
3. To develop a well organised anatomy museum
4. To promote research & to gain knowledge about recent advances in the field of Anatomy

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES

Department of Rachana Sharira is fully flourished with various facilities for students. The discipline of Rachana sharira finds a parallel in the modern discipline of anatomy.

We have department museum where there is availability of 34 anatomical specimens and 32 models and 37 charts which are presented based on different concepts related to Rachana sharira which are prepared by the students.
