Kaumarabhritya (Ayurveda Paediatrics) deals with the health and welfare of children up to 16 years. We are not only concerned with different paediatric diseases but also extend our service and responsibility to maintain the optimum health of children, both physical and mental to produce a healthy society.


CONCERN OF THE DEPARTMENT

To develop the department into a well-recognised centre in teaching, training, childcare and research


AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide quality education for undergraduate students to maintain the highest standards of Ayurveda
  2. To provide the best teaching and learning experience
  3. To provide quality clinical training for students
  4. To encourage faculties and students for their active participation in clinical researches in the field of Kaumarabhritya
  5. To provide quality childcare through the principles of Ayurveda
  6. To set the department as an example for quality education, childcare services and research

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

  1. Regular theory classes with all assisted devices and technologies for easy teaching and learning experience
  2. Regular clinical classes for students to make them confident in the art of childcare
  3. Regular hands-on training for students to improve their clinical skills
  4. Samhita parayana for students to make them understand the concepts of Ayurveda
  5. Weekly tests to assess the quality of teaching and learning
  6. Mentoring classes for students
  7. Charts and Model preparations to make the subject more interesting
  8. Well equipped OPD and IPD for providing quality health care for children
  9. Conducting Swarnamrutaprasana every month, on Pushya Nakshatra for improving the general immunity, intellect and Memory in children
